How to appeal a punishment
An appeal is your opportunity to explain what happened and provide any information staff should consider. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that your punishment will be removed.
Before you appeal
Read the Network Rules and make sure you understand why you were punished.
Your appeal should be:
- Honest — tell us what happened in your own words.
- Clear — include the information staff need to review the punishment.
- Relevant — focus on the punishment you are appealing.
- Respectful — abusive or threatening messages will not help your appeal.
Each punishment can only be appealed once. Take your time and include everything you want staff to consider.
Find your punishment ID
You need the numerical ID attached to your punishment.
You can find it:
- On the ban screen when attempting to join the network.
- By using
/recordin game.
The website verifies your punishment ID before you can continue. Make sure you enter the complete ID shown in game.
Ban appeals
You may appeal a ban without signing in if the punishment prevents you from accessing your account.
If you appeal without an account, you will receive a private link after submitting. Keep this link safe because you will need it to:
- Read messages from staff.
- Provide additional information.
- View the final decision.
Anyone with your private appeal link may be able to read and reply to the appeal. Do not share it with anyone.
Mute appeals
You must sign in to appeal a mute.
Muted players can still join the network, register an account, and use /record to find their punishment ID.
Writing your appeal
Explain what happened from your point of view and why you would like the punishment to be reviewed.
Consider including:
- What happened before the punishment was issued.
- Any relevant context staff may not already know.
- Why you believe the punishment should be changed.
- What you will do differently in the future, where appropriate.
- Links to any evidence that supports your appeal.
Avoid copying another player’s appeal, blaming staff, or including unrelated information.
A short and honest explanation is more useful than a long appeal copied from somewhere else.
After submitting
Appeals linked to your account appear under My appeals. You can open an appeal to read staff responses and provide more information.
Your appeal may be marked as:
- Open — the appeal is waiting for review or further information.
- On hold — staff need more time or information.
- Accepted — the appeal was successful.
- Denied — the punishment will remain in place.
- Closed — the appeal has finished.
Please wait patiently while your appeal is reviewed. Sending repeated messages will not move it forward more quickly.
Start an appeal
When you are ready, start your appeal and enter your punishment ID.
